Good and Bad All for God’s Glory

February was an exciting month, though it included an unexpected event.

The good news is that we were able to continue our 2026 theme, studying the “Hard Heart.” We also said goodbye to the Prater family, who have been with us for the past two years in language school and cultural acquisition. They will be arriving in Paraguay later this year to begin planting churches!

The difficult news is that Faith Baptist Church experienced a fire. The fire appears to have started from a fan that was left on by members who cleaned the church the day before. While the building sustained damage, we are thankful that it was not destroyed.

I went to the church that Sunday afternoon to help with the cleanup and saw the damage firsthand. Since the fire, we have watched the church family step up in remarkable ways—giving offering after offering and volunteering hour after hour to clean, paint, repair, and discard what was ruined. I am deeply thankful for how God is using His church to respond faithfully in the midst of this trial.

March is our evangelism month. We will be focusing on soul-winning efforts, hosting special evangelistic outreaches, and teaching on how to be a faithful witness. We are excited about this special emphasis! We will also be celebrating baptisms this month, with three candidates prepared to follow the Lord in baptism.

The Lord has been so good to us. We truly believe He is at work in the ministry, and we are grateful. Thank you for continuing to pray for the ministry God has entrusted to us.
