This weekend I am I preaching at the youth conference at Berea Baptist Church in Beriso, the first service was last night. We had three people ask for prayer about their salvation, although no one trusted in Christ as Savior, I do believe the Lord is working in hearts. It is an honor to be able to have a small part in the conference. The Lord is using Pastor Hernan and the church in their community. It is exciting to see how the church is growing and the young people who are involved in the ministry! Please pray for the conference, it will continue today and end tomorrow night.
Quick Update: A Normal Weekend
Our first “Tradition Day” was an incredible success! We had a number of people who came dressed up as “gauchos” and “paisanas”. We had a group come in who sang special traditional Christian Music (almost like the Argentine version of “bluegrass”), and Pastor Hugo preached a stirring message. Afterwords, we enjoyed a special fellowship with traditional Argentine food! We were all grateful to share this time with brothers and sisters in the church.
We had our midweek service last night with four first time visitors. We preached the Gospel both in the service and one on one with them, and although no one was saved, they each told us that they would visit us again. We are praying for their salvation!
Although we have no special events this weekend, we are looking forward to serving the Lord, preaching His Word, and seeing how God uses the young men who will each take a part in the services. Thank you for praying for us.
Quick Update: Saying Goodbye
We enjoyed having our Pastor, his wife, and a group down from our home church! We were able to spend time together throughout the past 10 days. Pastor preached in multiple services as well as took time to counsel me in the ministry. The church was encouraged by Pastor Lawrence and the church group! We spent the last few days with them visiting the Iguazú Falls, everyone seem to enjoy the time together and seeing one of the spectacular manifestations of God’s mighty power! We were sad to see them go, but we enjoyed the time we had with them. I believe God worked in the hearts of those on the missions trip and they went back home encouraged to live for Jesus! Thank you for praying for us as we hosted this special group from Victory Baptist Church!

A Wonderful Missions Trip and Preparing for Independence Day
We were honored to host our home church, including our Pastor and his family, last month. We had 23 people who came to serve and to see the ministry! It was a blessing to share time with them! Pastor Lawrence was a great help to Faith Baptist Church as well as an encouragement to our family.
This month we will be celebrating Argentina’s independence. We will have a special service, much like an old-fashion Sunday, but in an Argentine context. The men will dress up as “gauchos” (Argentine cowboys) and the women will dress up as “paisanas” (countrywomen). We have a special guest preacher, and a trio who will be singing. After the service we will have a fellowship with locro (a traditional dish eaten on Independence Day), empanadas, torta frita (a fried bread), and a few other delicious treats. We are praying that the Lord will bless this special service and that visitors will come to this event, here the Gospel of Jesus, and believe on Him as their Savior. Please pray with us for this special service.
Serving Together,
Patrick, Leslie, Lily, Piper, Ivy, and Isla Henry
