June 2022 Missions Letter

June 1, 2022 by Patrick Leave a Comment

Every Member Has a Gift, Every Member has a Ministry!

We were in Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, and South Carolina in May to present what the Lord has done during our first term. We have enjoyed each and every opportunity to do so.

In May, Pastor Matías, the man pastoring Faith Baptist Church, Eric, one of the men assisting him, and I met together via a video call. We try to do so once a week, but this specific meeting was different. Pastor Matías has a burden to help each member of the church use their God given gifts to complete the function God has for them in their local assembly. As he spoke with me about it, I was encouraged to see how God has developed a pastor’s heart in him. It reminded me of my pastor. Matías and Eric put together a list of the ministries we have at the church, and worked to try to incorporate everyone he could. Pastor Matías has been preaching on this Bible truth, and many of the members who did not have a specific ministry now do have a place to serve!

This month, Faith Baptist Church will be celebrating Father’s Day with a special service. This month we will also be traveling to churches in Georgia, Maryland, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. Thank you praying for us and the ministry God has given us.

Serving Together,

Patrick, Leslie, Lily, Piper, Ivy, and Isla Henry

May 2022 Missions Letter

A Fruitful Visit With Souls Saved!

Leslie and I spent the first two weeks of April in Argentina. It was wonderful to see the growth and encourage the church to continue to take more steps by faith. While there, we were able to lead to people to the Lord in two separate services. Please pray with us for Jessica and Salomé as they begin their new lives in Jesus! We also had four families dedicate their babies/children to the Lord for our baby dedication service. The two weeks went by quickly with classes, services, and special meetings with the church. It was also encouraging to see how Matías continues to pastor the church. The church has an “Easter Conference” each year starting on the Thursday before Easter. It was a great conference with Matías, Eric, and Javier each preaching one of the services of the conference. When we arrived back from Argentina, we were able to be a part of our mission board’s annual orientation. I was able to spend time with veteran missionaries and received instruction on how to best continue when we return to Argentina for our second term.

We are traveling a lot on furlough and have a full calendar. We are thankful for the opportunities God has given us to share what God is doing in the ministry in Argentina! This month we have meetings in Tennessee, Florida, Virginia, and South Carolina. Thank you for praying for us and the ministry in Argentina.

Serving Together,

Patrick, Leslie, Lily, Piper, Ivy, and Isla Henry

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for our furlough meetings.
  • Pray for Matías and Eric as they continue to pastor the church.
  • Pray for Faith Baptist Church and their special events in May.
  • Pray for the evangelistic outreach of Faith Baptist Church.

Quick Update: Orientation 2022

April 22, 2022 by Patrick Leave a Comment

Our mission board, Vision Baptist Missions, holds an orientation each year. It is a 5 day event where missionaries on deputation and missionaries on furlough come together to be encouraged and to prepare for the next steps. During orientation, we learn more about how to serve as missionaries, we go over rules, procedures, and the core values of the board, we pray for world evangelism, and of course fellowship! The regional directors also were there to instruct us.

The last orientation we were a part of was in 2015. At that time we were on deputation and had dreams of serving on the mission field. We have now seen God work in the ministry in Argentina. We still have dreams of seeing more churches planted, more souls saved, more people discipled, and more men trained for the ministry. We have seen God do great things as we have served Him in the past, we have faith that He will continue to in the future!

Quick Update: Two People Saved!

April 15, 2022 by Patrick Leave a Comment

Our time in Argentina was very fruitful. We were able to spend time with many of the church members. We had our Spiritual Growth Conference, a special 3-day workshop, Baby Dedication Sunday, and a special ladies fellowship. We were able to instruct the leaders, counsel several who are struggling, and encourage the church as a whole. We had several visitors to the church over the past two weeks, and two of them received Jesus as Savior! Salomé came Sunday and after the service she came up to us responding to the invitation. After explaining the Gospel, she believed on Jesus as Savior! Jessica was invited to the Tuesday ladies prayer meeting. Leslie had the opportunity to lead her to Jesus. Pray for both of these new Christians as they begin their new lives in Christ!
