Summer Comes to a Close

We had our Vacation Bible School in February. It was led by Javier, one of the faithful men at Faith Baptist Church. He did a great job with other men and women of the church by his side. The theme was Jonah. They had a good number of children from around the community come and they seemed to enjoy it. Most of all, Jesus was preached. Pray with us that God continue to work in the children who attended. 

March is when school starts back up, and is also a great time to invite others to the church. Our big event this month is “Levi’s Banquet”. We do it every year. It is a time when we invite friends and family to the church. We will have a special lunch after the service. We have traditionally had a great number of visitors on this day. Pray with us that we see people saved. 

Our schedule is booking up. We will be in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Michigan this month. We are grateful for every opportunity to share what God has done during our first term, and our plans for our second term. Please pray with us that we will be a blessing in each church we visit.

Our Furlough Plans

We have seen God work during our first term. We have seen people saved, baptized, and discipled. We have seen Jesus build His church! We have seen God call men into the ministry, we have watched them grow and serve in the church. We are now on furlough and we are scheduling meetings for 2022. I am so thankful for how God is using Matías. Matías is pastoring the church we started in Lanús, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started attending the church in 2018. He has been my Assistant Pastor for 3 years now. He is works so hard to preach the truth and maintain unity in the church. He is consistently reaching out to the church family, he serves them humbly. God is using him!

Faith Baptist Church just completed the Vacation Bible School last Sunday. They had a great group of kids attend, many of which have not been to the church before. Pray for their salvation. There are several special events coming up in the next weeks. Pray as God continues to work in and through the church.

Tonight is the beginning of Vacation Bible School at Faith Baptist Church in Argentina. The church has worked hard, decorated the church, planned out the services, and passed out invitations. Javier, one of the faithful men of the church, is leading the event. The theme is Jonah. I am so excited for them! We wish we could be there! It is a blessing to know God is working!

This weekend we will be in south Florida. We are blessed to be in each church to share what God has done in the ministry and to share our plans for our second term. Thank you for praying for us!

Summer, COVID, and Vacation Bible School

It was a complicated January in Argentina. There was a significant increase of COVID in the country, the number of cases increased by over 500% in one day! Faith Baptist Church was forced to have online services for a week. There was also a heat wave in January with record-breaking temperatures! With all of this going on, Matías is doing a great job pastoring the church!

Faith Baptist Church will have its annual VBS this month. It is our big outreach for the month. Pray with us that COVID does not keep the church from holding this special event. We hope to have other special events that we had to cancel in January. 

I had the opportunity to talk with Leandro, one of the guys in the church who was training in the Bible College. Leandro is always an encouragement. He is a witness, testifying of Jesus to his friends and family, and he is a blessing to the church. Leandro’s hours at work have increased, so he is not able to attend our midweek services anymore. He is still able to attend Sunday morning services, but not much else. He is discouraged, and wants to continue to grow and live for Jesus. Pray for Leandro as he continues to serve Jesus! Thank you for your faithful prayers and support!
