The Christmas Season Begins the Summer Season

Se had our first-ever mission conference at Hope Baptist Church, and it was a wonderful success! We held a Saturday night service that began with an “international snack” and a Sunday morning service that ended with an international lunch. We preached and taught on missions, how to be a missionary church, and the church’s next goal: to start supporting her first missionary in January 2026! The church was decorated with flags from around the world, posters about the needs in specific countries, and inspiring stories of missionaries from the past. I was so encouraged by how the church responded to the mission conference. Another blessing was that I preached at the Saturday night service of the Faith Baptist Church mission conference the very next week. We also had a combined couples fellowship between Faith and Hope Baptist Church, which was encouraging for everyone.

We are now entering the Christmas season, which is quite different from our American Christmas season because it is also the beginning of summer. At Hope Baptist Church, we plan to do something we have never done before: a Christmas play during our special Christmas service. This will surely be the highlight of our month at the church. Faith Baptist Church will also have a special Christmas choir for their Christmas service. Please pray for both churches.
