A New Year, with New Goals, and New Beginnings
I believe we ended 2025 in a very special way. At Hope Baptist Church, one of our young ladies, Lara, received Jesus as her Savior. We also held our Christmas Service, which included our first-ever Christmas play. We were encouraged to have family and friends in attendance who do not normally come to our services. We also celebrated our annual “Empanada Night,” which served as our final service of the year. The church family chose the songs we sang as a congregation, I shared a message challenging us to finish the year strong and begin 2026 determined to live for Jesus, and we ended the evening enjoying fellowship together over empanadas.
As we begin a new year, we are also launching new themes and goals. On Sunday, January 4, we will have “The Vision” service, where we will unveil the theme for the year and share how it will be implemented throughout 2026. This year’s theme is “Keep Thy Heart,” based on Proverbs 4:23. Each month, we will study the different kinds of hearts the Bible describes and how they apply to us as Christians.
Faith Baptist Church is also starting 2026 strong. The final service of 2025 was a special one, honoring Pastor Matías, and my family and I were honored to be part of that service.
Please pray with us that God will bless and use both Faith Baptist Church and Hope Baptist Church. By faith, we are trusting God for an incredible year ahead—seeing souls saved and believers baptized and discipled.
Serving together,
Patrick, Leslie, Lily, Piper, Ivy, and Isla Henry
