Before going on furlough, we had missionary friends that have been on the field for multiple terms who told us it would be wise to take a quick trip back to the field to check on the church, encourage the leaders and the church family, and to try to take care of any problems that may have arisen during our absence.

Leslie and I arrived to Argentina yesterday morning to do just as our veteran missionary friends have counseled us. We have just over two weeks here and our time will be been filled with lots of many ministry opportunities. We started our annual “Spiritual Growth Conference”. It will continue tonight and will end on Sunday. We will be hosting a class during the following week for the church family. I will be teaching on biblical stewardship for the week. We also have a baby dedication service the next Sunday. So far we have two families who will be dedicating their children to raise them for Jesus.

There is so much to do and so much to be thankful for. Pray for us as we encourage the leadership in the church, teach Bible truths, and give counsel on how to continue to advance the gospel.

I am so grateful for technology! It is no substitute for in-person conversations but it is a great tool. Each Tuesday a few of the guys in the ministry in Argentina and I get together via video chat and talk about the past week, upcoming events, blessings and problems that have occurred in the ministry, and about anything else going on. That meeting happens on Tuesdays. I look forward to talking with the men who are pastoring and guiding the church about the services on yesterday and the special event coming up in a week. They are doing a great job and I am thankful to be able to rejoice with them over the wonderful things going on at Faith Baptist Church in Lanús, Buenos Aires.

I was able to be at our home church yesterday morning and had a meeting in east Georgia with a supporting church for the evening service. I will be with another supporting church tonight in south Atlanta. We will be starting a mission conference in the midwest on Wednesday. God is so good to allow us to be with supporting churches and new churches we have never been in before. Thank you for praying for us!

The men of the church will be having a special men’s fellowship tomorrow. These meetings are great for the men to grow in friendship and in faith. Also, the ladies have started their weekly prayer meetings again. On Tuesdays, the ladies of the church come together to pray and study the Bible together. Both of these events for the men and the women are times of growth and unity.

We will be in in western North Carolina this weekend to present what God is doing in the ministry in Argentina. Thank you for praying for us.

Summer Comes to a Close

We had our Vacation Bible School in February. It was led by Javier, one of the faithful men at Faith Baptist Church. He did a great job with other men and women of the church by his side. The theme was Jonah. They had a good number of children from around the community come and they seemed to enjoy it. Most of all, Jesus was preached. Pray with us that God continue to work in the children who attended. 

March is when school starts back up, and is also a great time to invite others to the church. Our big event this month is “Levi’s Banquet”. We do it every year. It is a time when we invite friends and family to the church. We will have a special lunch after the service. We have traditionally had a great number of visitors on this day. Pray with us that we see people saved. 

Our schedule is booking up. We will be in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Michigan this month. We are grateful for every opportunity to share what God has done during our first term, and our plans for our second term. Please pray with us that we will be a blessing in each church we visit.

Our Furlough Plans

We have seen God work during our first term. We have seen people saved, baptized, and discipled. We have seen Jesus build His church! We have seen God call men into the ministry, we have watched them grow and serve in the church. We are now on furlough and we are scheduling meetings for 2022.
