Training, Testifying, and Taking the Next Steps

October was a wonderful month. One of the men, Eric, led the Lord’s Supper for the first time. Another one of the young men, Matías, baptized a new believer for the first time. These men and the others training in the ministry are taking steps to continue the ministry forward. I was also blessed to preach for Missionary Shawn Bateman in Rosario. It was a blessing to see how God is working in the ministry there! Brother Shawn is a wonderful man of God and I am blessed by his friendship and counsel. We also had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend with a Ladies Fellowship on Saturday and our special Mother’s Day Service on Sunday (yes, Mother’s Day is in October in Argentina). The adolescent ministry held a big event as well in order to bring in lost young people and preach the Gospel to them. God is working and we are praying for these young people, we have many who attend faithfully who are not saved and we also had visitors who need Jesus as well. Pray with us for their salvation!

We are preparing to return to the states for our furlough. We will be in the states for 2022. Each service is special knowing that our time here before our departure is short! Matías will be pastoring Faith Baptist Church. He has strong men and faithful ladies who will support him in this role. Pray for him and Faith Baptist Church as they progress in the ministry.

Serving Together,

Patrick, Leslie, Lily, Piper, Ivy, and Isla Henry

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for our Matías, Eric and the other leaders in the church.
  • Pray for the young men training and serving in the ministry.
  • Pray for our upcoming furlough.

Plans for 2022

We our completing our first term and will be returning to the states for our furlough toward the end of this year. We have seen people saved, baptized, and discipled. We have seen Jesus build His church! We have seen God call men into the ministry and we have watched them grow and serve in the church. We will be on furlough for 2022. We are now scheduling meetings during our furlough. If you would like to have us in to share what God has done in the ministry here, please contact us. You can email me at p_henry@me.com. We would be honored to share with you what God has done during our first term and what we are believing He will do during our second term!

Quick Update: Another Special Lord’s Supper Service

October 8, 2021 by Patrick Leave a Comment

I am so thankful that God has given us men who are training in the ministry. Each of them came to the church from different places in life. None of them came to train. God has worked in each of their lives! One of the things we do in our small Bible College is that each of the students not only learn in the classes, they also learn by serving in the ministry. Matías was able to lead us in the Lord’s Supper last week. He did a phenomenal job! This Sunday, Eric will be leading us in the Lord’s Supper. He has learned how to do it, he has practiced it multiple times this week, and on Sunday he will lead us in this special service. He will preach and lead us in the Lord’s Supper.

We will be going on furlough soon. We still have several weeks, but we know our time is passing quickly. God has been so good to us these past four years! We are excited to see how God works during our second term, but before that, we look forward to our furlough to see many of you. Matías will be pastoring Faith Baptist Church. Please pray for the church and for Matías as they continue the work of the Lord and advance the gospel!

Blessings and Upcoming Plans

We enjoyed our annual Family Conference in September with a four great days of services! Missionary Shawn Bateman came down from Rosario and preached the conference. It was a great blessing. We also were able to start three new one-on-one discipleship courses in the month! Some of the highlights of October will be Mother’s Day (Mother’s Day is in October in Argentina) as well as the continued discipleship and evangelistic outreach.

This is hard to believe, but we will be completing our first term! We will be returning to the states for our furlough toward the end of this year. We have seen God do great things these past four years. We have seen people saved, baptized, and discipled. We have seen God work in the lives of many. We have seen Jesus build His church! We have seen God call men into the ministry and we have watched them grow and serve in the church. We will be on furlough for 2022. We are now scheduling meetings during our furlough. Quick Update: A Special Lord’s Supper Service

September 10, 2021 by Patrick Leave a Comment

We will observe the Lord’s Supper this Sunday night and it will be a special service. Matías, one of the young men training in the ministry, will be leading the Lord’s Supper. This will be the first time he has ever done so, and it will be the first time anyone other than myself has led in the Lord’s Supper. Pray with us that the service Sunday evening is a blessing to our church and to Matías.

We will have our annual Family Conference next week. Missionary Shawn Bateman will be preaching the conference. This is always a special time for our church family. Pray that God uses the conference to strengthen families!
