God has given us men that are training to be in the ministry. Gabriel (one of the men) preached his first 10 minute sermon last night! He did a wonderful job preaching Romans 1:16, I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ! Eric, another one of the young men, taught the Bible Study, teaching the church about Lamentations. It also was a great blessing! Matías will be preaching at our youth service tonight, and Brian, another one of the young men training, will be preaching the morning service on Sunday. Each of these men are a great blessing to the church. Pray with us that God use each Bible message to encourage and strengthen the church.

We have been very blessed to have a church building! Faith Baptist Church has its own building to worship, hold services, discipleship classes, and all of our other ministries! We have been working on the buildings and church property since the day we bought it. We have seen great progress over the past two years. Something we have never had is a platform for the pulpit. There were a few reasons for this, including the need to move an exterior door from the center of the wall behind the pulpit (or close to the center) to the right side of the wall. Over the past two weeks, the door has been moved and a platform has been built! The men in the church have been at work with all of this. Tomorrow we will be constructing a set of stairs. In the midst of the planning for tomorrow (Saturday), the work day has turned into a work-day/grill-out, or what we call, “an asado” (which sounds great to me!). So tomorrow we will be having a special men’s fellowship and we will enjoy a delicious lunch while we work on the stairs for the platform!

This Sunday will be the first Sunday we will preach from this platform! It will not be totally completed, but it will be good enough to use. Thank you for praying for us!

We will be having our church services online this weekend because of a COVID scare. It all starts tonight with our youth night service. Eric will be preaching the service. Tomorrow our adolescent service will be online as well. The workers are preparing that service. We also will publish our Sunday service online as well. We will go back to in-person services starting with our mid-week service next week. Thank you for praying for us.

We started a new ministry last Tuesday. It is a lady’s prayer meeting that we will be holding weekly. Leslie is leading this ministry along with two other ladies in the church. 10 ladies met together on Tuesday to go over prayer requests and pray together. Leslie shared a few Bible verses on the subject of prayer, several ladies shared specific requests, and they all prayed together! Each week these ladies (and others) will meet and pray for lost loved ones, for the ministries of the church, for the men training in the ministry, and for other requests.
