This weekend has three exciting events for Faith Baptist Church.

• Our first wedding: Tonight we will have our first wedding of two people (Matías and Micka) who met a result of Faith Baptist Church! There will be a lot of people who are not Christians at the ceremony. Matías and Micka have asked me to share the Gospel. I am excited about this special event as well as this young couple! Please pray for this couple and for those who will be hearing the Gospel for the first time.
• Our Christmas service: Sunday will be the last Sunday before Christmas, and in the past, it has been a very big service for us. Because of all the protocols, we are not able to do what we normally do. We will still have a special service, but we are not able to “pull out all the stops” with invitations and the like. Please pray for this special service.
• A special baptism: Sebastián will be getting baptized this Sunday. Sebastián started coming to the church a little over a month ago. He and his sister have really been growing. His testimony is very interesting, he was saved in January after reading and thinking on what the Bible says about salvation. He did not have anyone to guide him. The Lord has brought them to Faith Baptist Church, and now he will be getting baptized. Pray for this young man has he seeks the Lord and grows in grace.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday. We were able to spend time together preparing food, talking, sharing things we are thankful for, and of course eating a lot! I am so thankful that the Lord allows us to serve Him in Argentina. Like in any ministry there are some days that are better than others. Like almost everyone, 2020 was not at all what we were expecting, and yet we still see the Lord work. We are thankful for God’s leading in our lives and we are thankful for you. You are a part of this ministry as you have faithfully prayed and supported us through the years. We believe we serve together, although we are not all in Argentina, we are all serving Jesus together. Thank you for your faithful partnership to advance the gospel of Jesus!

Our Sunday morning service is the only “church-wide” service we have for now. But that doesn’t mean that we do not have other opportunities. On Wednesday afternoon the girls in the youth group were able to have a class together at the church. This was led by one of the young ladies in the youth group. On Thursday night we had an online service, although it is not the same as being able to meet physically, it is still a blessing that we can have this type of service. We will have our youth meeting tonight. The Lord is working in our youth group. We have several of the youth who are serving in our church! It is exciting to see how God is working! We also look forward to our Sunday morning service. Although we are not able to do much, a lot is going on. Thank you for praying for the ministry God is blessing us with.

Back to Church!

After being in quarantine for over 200 days, we finally were able to have our first church service in October! We are now able to continue with weekly services! We have to follow several rules. We have our chairs appropriately distanced from each other and everyone has on masks. We are doing all we can to take the proper precautions so that we can continue to meet. Not all of Argentina is able to have services yet (not even all of Buenos Aires). The quarantine still continues, even for us. Our specific city (Lanús) is allowing these small services with many conditions. Our church family is very happy to be able to meet together again!

During the quarantine we have seen several people saved! Members of the church are sharing the Gospel with family and friends and we are seeing the fruit from it. We have some that are being discipled, and we hope to see the others start discipleship soon! 

As for now we have one physical church service per week, one ladies discipleship class, and various other one on one discipleship sessions. This month we hope to be able to start more weekly services. Thank you for praying for us.
