December 2021 Missions Letter

Furlough has Begun and the Ministry Continues

We have made it back to the United States. November was very busy with all of the final preparations for our furlough. We are filled with emotions as we think of the people saved, baptized, and discipled during our first term and how God has called men to serve in the ministry. We have seen God do amazing things! For our last service, the church surprised us with a special video and letters from many of the members. It was very hard to say goodbye, but we know the Lord is at work and we believe the following year will be a time of growth for Faith Baptist Church.

The church continues under the leadership of Matías. Eric and other men are serving alongside him. The church will continue with all of the normal services as well as special events each month. We have our annual Christmas Service and our Vision event for the upcoming year in December. Both of these events are some of the biggest highlights for the year. Although we will not be there, we believe they will prove to be exciting services! There are many lost that need Jesus, many newly saved that need to be discipled, and I am praying that God uses Faith Baptist Church in Lanús to accomplish His work!

Serving Together,

Patrick, Leslie, Lily, Piper, Ivy, and Isla Henry

Prayer Requests

Pray for Matías as he pastors Faith Baptist Church.

Pray for Eric and the other leaders in the church.

Pray for the young men training and serving in the ministry.

Our Furlough Plans

We have seen God work during our first term. We have seen people saved, baptized, and discipled. We have seen Jesus build His church! We have seen God call men into the ministry, we have watched them grow and serve in the church. We are now on furlough and we are scheduling meetings for 2022. If you would like to have us in to share what God has done in the ministry here, please contact us. You can email me at p_henry@me.com. We would be honored to share with you what God has done during our first term and what we are believing He will do during our second term!

Quick Update: Back in the United States

November 29, 2021 by Patrick Leave a Comment

It has been over a week since we have sent out an update. We are now back on furlough. We are so grateful to God for all that He did during our first term. We have seen people saved, baptized, discipled, and who are now serving God with their lives (we have also seen people reject Jesus and turn from the truth). We have seen God work and we are excited to share that with you. We also look forward to our second term and believe God will continue to work in the ministry.

Faith Baptist Church continues to have services under Pastor Matías. He also has several men by his side who are serving. It is a blessing to know that God is still working. Please pray for Pastor Matías, Pastor Eric, and Faith Baptist Church during our furlough. We are praying that God use this year to build the church as a whole build these men as they serve in the ministry.

Quick Update: Baptism and a Picnic

November 1, 2021 by Patrick Leave a Comment

The last two weeks have been special. We will be going on furlough soon, and Matías will be pastoring Faith Baptist Church. He baptized a young man he is discipling last Sunday! This was the first time he has ever baptized someone. He has been discipling Ezequiel for over a month now. This is exciting to see as the church looks to Matías as Pastor while we are on furlough. We also had a picnic outing on Saturday for the adolescent ministry. We had several first-time guests with us. We were able to preach the Gospel to them. We have several who have not received Jesus as Savior. This is not from a lack of sharing the Gospel, and we are praying God will continue to work in them and that they will believe on Jesus very soon!

Pray with us as we continue to press forward advancing the Gospel!

November 2021 Missions Letter

Training, Testifying, and Taking the Next Steps

October was a wonderful month. One of the men, Eric, led the Lord’s Supper for the first time. Another one of the young men, Matías, baptized a new believer for the first time. These men and the others training in the ministry are taking steps to continue the ministry forward. I was also blessed to preach for Missionary Shawn Bateman in Rosario. It was a blessing to see how God is working in the ministry there! Brother Shawn is a wonderful man of God and I am blessed by his friendship and counsel. We also had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend with a Ladies Fellowship on Saturday and our special Mother’s Day Service on Sunday (yes, Mother’s Day is in October in Argentina). The adolescent ministry held a big event as well in order to bring in lost young people and preach the Gospel to them. God is working and we are praying for these young people, we have many who attend faithfully who are not saved and we also had visitors who need Jesus as well. Pray with us for their salvation!

We are preparing to return to the states for our furlough. We will be in the states for 2022. Each service is special knowing that our time here before our departure is short! Matías will be pastoring Faith Baptist Church. He has strong men and faithful ladies who will support him in this role. Pray for him and Faith Baptist Church as they progress in the ministry.

Serving Together,

Patrick, Leslie, Lily, Piper, Ivy, and Isla Henry
