The Share-A-Thon for the Center of World Evangelism

April 30, 2020 by Patrick Leave a Comment

Tomorrow and Saturday (May 1-2), from 6am until midnight, The Center For World Evangelism will be hosting two full days of praising God for what He is doing around the world.

There will be singing, preaching, interviews, videos, and fun.

The event will be a Share-a-thon intent on raising money for land for the Our Generation Training Center and Vision Baptist Missions. I am honored and humbled to have a small part in this ministry. The goal of the Our Generation Training Center is to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus in our generation. It is a place for biblical and practical training for missions. It is a unique place where believers are equipped to serve Jesus in a foreign context. The teachers are missionaries who have been on the field, started churches, and trained men in their mission fields. These teachers know how to serve on the mission field because they are doing it. They know the struggles, the victories, the temptations, the obstacles and how to overcome them because they have been there. They know what it is like to learn a language and to live in another culture. The Our Generation Training Center is where many young men are being trained and we want to open the door for many more to be trained. That is who we are and what we are trying to do.

Make plans to tune-in anytime Friday or Saturday, May 1-2, from 6am until midnight. It is going to be a great time! Click here to find out more.

Quick Update: Ministry and Quarantine

April 25, 2020 by Patrick Leave a Comment

It is a rainy day in Argentina. I am sending you this post from our kitchen table, looking out at the rain. We have been under a strict quarantine for 36 days. Last night the President extended the quarantine for another 2 weeks. We are not able to have church services in the church. We are not allowed to leave the house except to go to the grocery store/pharmacy. There is good news, missionary Shawn Bateman sent us the link for the application to be able to go out (as pastors). Now we are able to leave with that permission. It is a limited, but it is much better than the alternative!  We will continue to host our church services online via Facebook and Youtube.

Thank you for praying for us. Although this is not how we imagined 2020 would be, we are rolling with the punches and doing what we can for the glory of God.

Quick Update: A Virtual Conference

April 17, 2020 by Patrick Leave a Comment

We are in the midst of a quarantine. The quarantine started March 20th and will continue through April 26th, but many think it will be extended for the third time.  We had to cancel all of this month’s events, including a special conference with my mentor, Austin Gardner and Mission Director, Jeff Bush.  Even though the event had to be cancelled, we are still going to have an  online “Spiritual Growth Conference”. We have three missionaries who will be preaching three services during the coming week. We have “virtual invitations” that we are using to invite others to tune in to the conference.

This is something new we are trying to do to reach out to others. Please pray with us for our Spiritual Growth Conference.

Quick Update: Celebrating the Resurrection…Online

April 11, 2020 by Patrick Leave a Comment

We are in Quarantine. The quarantine is police enforced. It was just extended until April 26. Our family is well. We are able to have our church services online (via Facebook live). Tomorrow is our Easter service and we look forward to reaching out to all those who will be “attending” the service from their homes. We are trying to look at this as an opportunity, because maybe somebody will watch the service from their couch who wouldn’t normally enter the church.

The members (and those who regularly attend our services) seem encouraged. Argentina is already struggling economically and COVID-19 is making it difficult for people to work. This is a hard time for everyone, but God is in control.

Thank you for praying for us. Even from home we have the opportunity to celebrate Jesus´ resurrection. Even from home it’s all about Jesus!
