Summer, COVID, and Vacation Bible School

It was a complicated January in Argentina. There was a significant increase of COVID in the country, the number of cases increased by over 500% in one day! Faith Baptist Church was forced to have online services for a week. There was also a heat wave in January with record-breaking temperatures! With all of this going on, Matías is doing a great job pastoring the church!

Faith Baptist Church will have its annual VBS this month. It is our big outreach for the month. Pray with us that COVID does not keep the church from holding this special event. We hope to have other special events that we had to cancel in January. 

I had the opportunity to talk with Leandro, one of the guys in the church who was training in the Bible College. Leandro is always an encouragement. He is a witness, testifying of Jesus to his friends and family, and he is a blessing to the church. Leandro’s hours at work have increased, so he is not able to attend our midweek services anymore. He is still able to attend Sunday morning services, but not much else. He is discouraged, and wants to continue to grow and live for Jesus. Pray for Leandro as he continues to serve Jesus!
