Growing and Serving

We had a very busy and blessed month of April. We had missionary friends visiting with us who challenged Hope Baptist Church and its leadership to serve the Lord faithfully. We also held our first young men’s retreat, celebrated Easter, and rejoiced as Faith Baptist Church marked its ninth anniversary. One of the ladies at Hope Baptist Church taught her first Bible class lesson last month, and one of the young men assisted me in teaching the men’s class. Our one-on-one discipleship meetings are also ongoing. I am discipling Israel, and even in the short time we have met together, I have seen the Lord working in his life.

Hope Baptist Church is growing. Pastor Brian is doing an excellent job as my assistant and is actively helping others become involved in serving the Lord together as a church family. We will be in the States for a few weeks this month for a family wedding. During that time, Pastor Brian will be leading the church in my absence, while Pastor Matías continues to faithfully pastor Faith Baptist Church. I am so thankful to the Lord for how He is raising up leaders who are faithfully serving!
