The Annual Missions Conference

October could be summed up with two special events: our ladies’ fellowship and Mother’s Day. The ladies’ fellowship was held at Hope Baptist Church. Leslie led the event, and Ayelen, Pastor Brian’s wife, shared a Bible message with the ladies. We had a number of visitors, and everyone enjoyed the fellowship. Several of the ladies who attend these special events are not yet saved. Although they are willing to come to church activities, they have not yet trusted Jesus Christ for salvation. Please pray that God will continue to use our witness to work in their hearts!

We also held our special Mother’s Day service, beginning the day with a church-wide Mother’s Day breakfast. It was encouraging to see families come together and celebrate Mother’s Day at church! God was honored, Christ was preached, and families enjoyed starting Mother’s Day in the Lord’s house!

We are holding our annual mission conference this month. Last year was our first mission conference, and it was the first time many of these new believers had learned about missions. Hope Baptist Church began supporting an Argentine missionary serving in Africa. This young church, located on the mission field itself, is now supporting missions! This year, we will continue to emphasize the importance of supporting missions and using what God has given us to reach people we may never meet in this life. Please pray for the mission conference at Hope Baptist Church!

Our Bible classes are going very well! Antonio is a faithful member of Hope Baptist Church, and this month he will be assisting me in teaching one of our Bible classes. He has spent well over a month reviewing the lesson and preparing to teach the class. This will be the first time he has ever taught the Bible! It is exciting to see how Antonio and others are learning to use their gifts to serve Jesus.

Thank you for praying for us!

In Christ,

Patrick, Leslie, Lily, Piper, Ivy, and Isla Henry
